Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), Branch Avenue Route Section F8, Naylor Road StationThis project included the electrical design of a 600 ft. aerial passenger station, ancillary rooms, at-grade traction power substation, parking facilities, 340 ft. retained cut section, 300 ft. retained fill line section, 4,320 ft. aerial double track line section, 925 ft. at-grade line section and tie breaker station. Specific design elements include lighting and equipment layout, power to escalator and elevator, temporary power, emergency power, stray current bonding, cathodic protection, uninterruptible power system, electrical equipment rooms and substations, conduit routing for traction power, train control, communications, public telephone and fare collection equipment

Yard 1 Project EDG2 served as the Designer Manager for Architectural, Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical/Plumbing, and Fire Protection Engineering for a renovation project involving multiple tasks. EDG2 utilized our ISO 9001-2008 Certification to develop and implement the Quality Assurance & Quality Control Plan for the project. This $100 million design-build project involves the rehabilitation of Alexandria, Brentwood, and New Carrollton Rail Yards in accordance with the final WMATA approved design. The design-build team was responsible for all design, permits and inspections, including compliance with federal and jurisdictional requirements and codes pertaining to design and construction of the facilities.

Bi-State Development Agency Vehicle Maintenance Facility
Project management, space programming and preliminary design of 350,000 SF, $30 million main repair shop for 1,500 transit vehicles including articulated buses and support vehicles, central stores, main body and unit repair, paint shop, machine shop, vehicle wash, administration, bus parking/storage and employee parking on a 550,000 SF site in central St. Louis.
